Part-Time Audiophile Reviews the Manley OASIS Phono Stage
"This is a quiet phono stage, amazingly so, and I felt that this supremely low noise floor was more typical of a solid-state phono stage--albeit a high-quality one. In fact, it sounded like a solid-state phono preamplifier with a big beefy external power supply. I've stated numerous times that a low noise floor is the secret to a brilliant phono stage design, because that's how the music gets to your ears intact. That brings me back to the word direct, and why I apply it to the Oasis. Direct is clear, open, and without artifice."
