I just wanted to let everyone in our Manley Family know that our beloved Paul Fargo has transitioned into full-time retirement after over 25 years of expert service in our Tech Support department.

Paul came to us as a guitar amplifier hobbyist who had also worked for Hughes Aircraft for many years. (Remember him showing us the integrated circuit die he had worked on there?) Paul was good buddies with a few of our local customers which is how David Manley learned about him and hired him in March 1996 to come work at Manley Labs in our QC department alongside Humberto! Little did he know, but David Manley would move to France a few months later...

As Smokey Stover (RIP 1946 - 2007) joined the QC team, Paul became the main outward-facing customer service agent. Paul's favorite unit was the Manley Variable Mu and he came up with the "Paul's T-Bar Mod" which as you know is in production and found a permanent home in the front end of the Manley Nu Mu. Ever innovative, I remember the time Paul took apart his VCR and cobbled together a decoupling geared stereo to dual mono double potentiometer device. I still think about that clever invention today!

The most terrifying moment for me was when Paul decided that he wanted to move to Arizona. Oh no! We need Paul! So we figured that with modern VPN and communications we could allow Paul to take the entire Service Department with him to his new home. In recent years, Paul has had a few health issues which have made doing his daily job tasks more and more difficult for him so we recruited a new Tech Support person, Len Knitter, to be able to take the Customer Service emails off Paul and EveAnna's laps. In the factory, Chris Bernal really accelerated with his electronics skills and so the time came where we felt Len and Chris could carry on without Paul. It's a big move, but good for Paul – finally able to embrace retirement after a long and solid electronics career. I am super joyful for Paul and can't wait to visit him in Oracle, Arizona, kick back, and have a little BBQ and a couple of beers with my longtime buddy, Paul Fargo. Thank you, Paul, for 25 years of Service and Friendship.

Love,
EveAnna
